A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux shared hosting package with us and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a particular e-mailbox that you’ve got in your account, it will take literally just one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in the account. You can pick one single email address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button for a second time will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click on that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you are attempting to enable a second catch-all address for a specific domain or if there is active email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
